About Lesson

 In order to counter these messages and ensure they don’t impact how we support seniors, we need to maintain an awareness of ageism

Choosing terminology that promotes a respectful, positive attitude towards older people and not making assumptions about a person based on their age goes a long way in preventing and countering ageism.

Its impossible to be completely non-judgmental – but we can work towards being more aware of our unconscious judgements.
